Research Interests
I have worked on various research projects that have deepened my commitment to preventing psychological distress and “deaths of despair” among vulnerable, underrepresented, and stigmatized individuals. My commitment to prevention draws my research interests towards studying how these issues emerge across the lifespan. Additionally, I am interested in understanding maladaptive coping strategies often used to manage emotion dysregulation, such as self-inflicted injury and substance use.
