Elisabeth Conradt and Trafton Drew have been awarded a Neuroscience Initiative Collaborative Pilot Project.

Awarded from: The University of Utah Neuroscience Initiative

Grant title: "Identifying infant neurophysiological signatures linked with prenatal exposure to maternal anxiety"

This grant has been awarded to Drs. Conradt and Drew, along with Brendan Ostlund and Dr. Erin Clark from the University of Utah Medical School. This project is designed to test whether specific neurophysiological profiles distinguish infants exposed to maternal anxiety in utero from those whose mothers were not anxious while pregnant.  The long-term goal of this research is to identify specific neurological markers that predispose some infants to developing internalizing disorders later in life.
