Chris Fagundes wins the Neil Miller New Investigator award
Please join me in congratulating Dr. Chris Fagundes, who earned his PhD in our developmental and health psychology programs (advisor: Lisa Diamond), for winning the 2018 Neil Miller New Investigator Award from the Academy of Behavioral Medicine Research. Dr. Fagundes is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Rice University.
This award is given by the Academy of Behavioral Medicine Resaerch (ABMR) in recognition of outstanding research. The academy presents the award annually to a distinguished early career professional whose work best exemplifies imaginatively conceived and carefully conducted research in the field of behavioral medicine. As the awardee, Chris will give a lecture on June 28 at the academy's annual meeting in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Chris' research is at the interface of health psychology, affective neuroscience and psychoneuroimmunology. His research integrates biomedical and behavioral science to promote health and reduce disease burden.
