University of Utah Asia campus
News from the Utah Asia Campus:
Enrollment in the Psychology major at the Utah Asia Campus (UAC) in Songdo, South Korea continues to grow, with our largest incoming class so far joining the UAC campus this Fall. Psychology students take courses on the UAC campus for two and a half years, and typically come to Salt Lake for two semesters, returning to the South Korea Campus in order to complete their degrees. We are excited to welcome the newest UAC students to the Salt Lake campus, with two students arriving here in the summer and seven more this current fall semester. Eleven new students are expected in Salt Lake City during upcoming spring semester.
The student exchange can go in both directions! All Utah-based students are now welcome to attend the Asia Campus for one or two semesters. This is an excellent opportunity for cultural immersion while attending the University of Utah. All courses are in English and taught by faculty in the Psychology, Communication, Film & Media Arts and Urban Ecology majors. Engineering classes will be offered starting this spring. On-campus housing, student groups, health centers and world-class shopping are within minutes of the classrooms. Cost of attendance is similar to the Utah Campus and several scholarships are available.
Twelve UAC students have completed their Psychology degrees and graduated so far, including 6 who attended graduation ceremonies in May, 2018. Some of them are pictured here, with friends from the Communications major.
