Psychology Research Activities

Psychology

at the Heart of it All

Undergraduate and graduate students gain valuable experience by working in psychology research labs. Undergraduates get experience running participants, coding and analyzing data, and writing up posters and papers for presentation at conferences.  Graduate students gain valuable research experience designing and running studies, and analyzing and disseminating their findings. For both undergraduate and graduate students, these experiences go above and beyond what can be learned in psychology classes!

There are over 20 labs within the Psychology Department.  Some labs focus on writing projects and others focus on faculty research interests.  Research examples include distracted driving, diabetes management, measuring executive functioning, childhood experiences, lifespan development and much more.  Check out the various labs here

These psychology labs not only provide the opportunity for research, but result in faculty and students being able to publish their findings in journals within the field of psychology.
