Danielle's research interests include investigating how current social contexts, childhood experiences, and their interaction influence functional variation in human reproductive strategies and associated outcomes.  Her main focus is examining the impact of fathering on daughter's risky sexual attitudes, perceptions and behavior.

Dad's Demeanor Matters

Danielle's research, published in Developmental Psychology, shows that exposure to a father's behavior influences a daughter's likelihood of engaging in risky sex and affiliating with delinquent peers. High quality fathering resulted in less sexually risky behavior.
