Danielle's research interests include investigating how current social contexts, childhood experiences, and their interaction influence functional variation in human reproductive strategies and associated outcomes. Her main focus is examining the impact of fathering on daughter's risky sexual attitudes, perceptions and behavior.

Dad's Demeanor Matters
Danielle's research, published in Developmental Psychology, shows that exposure to a father's behavior influences a daughter's likelihood of engaging in risky sex and affiliating with delinquent peers. High quality fathering resulted in less sexually risky behavior.August 19, 2017
RESEARCH CENTRE: How fathers influence their daughters' sexual behavior
Danielle's research found that different amounts of exposure to fathers tend to change daughter's sexuality and sexual behavior. Lower quality fathering resulted in more risky sexual behaviour.
