  1. Patricia Kerig Receives the Distinguished Scientific and Creative Research Award

    Congratulations to Patricia Kerig on her receipt of the Distinguished Scientific and Creative Research Award from the University of Utah. This is one of the university's major recognitions of contributions to research and other scholarly activity, awarded by the University President following endorsement by the University Research Committee and the VP for Research.

  2. Cynthia Berg Appointed to Distinguished Professor

    Professor Cynthia Berg has been appointed to the rank of Distinguished Professor of Psychology. Congratulations to Dr. Berg on this acknowledgment of her outstanding contributions to research and to the University of Utah.

  3. Bert Uchino Receives the Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Scholar Distinguished Mentor Award

    Bert Uchino is a 2018 recipient of the Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Scholar Distinguished Mentor Award. He joins Don Strassberg, Tim Smith, and Cindy Berg as members of our department recognized campus-wide for their contributions to the success of their graduate students and postdocs.

  4. Ilse Dekoeyer-Laros and Cheryl Wright Op-Ed Published

    The Salt Lake Tribune has published an op-ed piece by Ilse Dekoeyer-Laros and Cindy Wright, titled "To do right by our babies, we must nurture our parents." This piece examines the development of babies and the importance of parenting despite high levels of stress, and the role played by social programs in assisting new mothers. For more on this topic, visit the upcoming event, "Raising our Babies," a public meeting March 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the University of Utah, Building 73.

  5. Cindy Berg

    Cindy Berg has been awarded a Distinguished Scholarly & Creative Research Award. The award recognizes lifelong accomplishments by considering the extent to which they represent a major breakthrough or advance in the field, are intellectually distinctive or creative, and contribute to improvement and enrichment in the human condition. Cindy is currently involved in many projects that aim to improve people’s lives. Congratulations, Cindy!

  6. Craig Bryan

    Craig Bryan receives Presidential Scholar award. The Presidential Scholar award is a prestigious award given out by the University of Utah to recognize excellence and achievement for faculty members at the associate professor level. Congratulations Craig!
